BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Michael Spis Gordon, President, is a current board member of the largest media production company in Micronesia. He has been involved in over 100 media projects related to conservation and cultural preservation. In the past Spis was a sports star and has been an inspiration for young students throughout Palau. After attending university in the United States, Spis returned to Palau to be with his family and work toward the betterment of Micronesia.

Tina Rehuher-Marugg, Vice-President, is the former Director of Belau National Museum and is now the Minister of the Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs for the Republic of Palau.

Tarita Holm, Secretary, is a local conservationist who holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from Mills College and is working on her Masters degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Management from Imperial College, University of London.   She is one of the authors of Palau's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan and is a co-author of the recently published book, Native Trees of Palau, A Field Guide .   She is currently working as a GIS Analyst for Palau's Ecosystem Based Management Initiative.

Kassi Berg, Treasurer, is a Georgetown Law school graduate who worked for the U.S. Federal government as well as private law firms before moving to the Pacific Islands.   Since her arrival in Palau in 2001, Kassi has overseen many grant projects from a wide arry of funding sources including: The Nature Conservancy, The Australian Government, U.S. Department of Health, State Incentive Grants Program, and UNESCO.
